The Gospel Story
An essential part of the process of making disciples is bringing them into the Kingdom. This page lists several effective ways to share the gospel message with spiritually lost people.
Some contemporary thinkers may suggest that we need not share the gospel verbally, insisting that people will come to faith as they see it demonstrated in our lives. They may dismiss these methods as old-fashioned and even harmful to the cause of Christianity in a sceptical society.
But Scripture teaches us, So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10.17). Therefore, we must share the gospel message verbally, not merely live it. People need to hear the message!
- Your Personal Story
The most effective way to share the Gospel is to tell what Jesus has done for you. Your personal story is a wonderful bridge from a natural conversation to a spiritual one, so you should be prepared to share at any time.
The Creation to Christ Story
Stories have great impact in most cultures of the world. The Creation to Christ story was adapted from a story which has been used effectively in non-literate societies in East Asia. You may find that some people want to see the "big picture" and will appreciate this story-based approach to sharing the Good News.
Seven Stories of Hope
Seven Stories of Hope is simply a list of seven passages from the Gospels that demonstrate the hope that Jesus gives. Compiled by a successful practitioner working in India and North Carolina, these stories are a great tool for establishing an outreach group to help unbelievers see what the Gospel is really about.
How to Share Your Faith Without an Argument
This is a method which can be memorized quickly and easily. A great benefit of this approach is that it engages people in the Scriptures and allows them to observe first-hand what each verse means, rather than being told--thus, no reason to argue with the witness!
The Romans Road
The Romans Road has been around for many years. This is simply a series of Scripture referencs from the book of Romans to explain the realities of sin and its consequences, and the work of Jesus to bring us to salvation.
The Wordless Book
The Wordless Book concept has been around for decades and is particularly useful for children. Using the colors presented, young people will enjoy making "wordless bracelets" which their friends at school are bound to ask about--giving them a great opportunity to share their faith naturally. But don't be fooled into thinking it's only for kids, as teenagers and adults will relate to the simple gospel message.
Evangecube
The Evangecube was developed in the late 1990s as a creative method for sharing the gospel. This puzzle-like gadget unfolds to reveal seven images which the witness uses to share the gospel story. The great benefit of this tool is that it holds people's attention long enough to share the whole gospel message.
